At Raising Hope Center Inc Canada, our mission is simple yet powerful — to restore hope, strengthen families, and build communities where every child and newcomer can thrive.
Through our three core programs, we work to bring stability, belonging, and opportunity to vulnerable children and new immigrants across Edmonton, Alberta, and beyond.
1. Fundraising for Global Impact
Our Canadian branch carries a key role in mobilizing vital resources to support the work of Raising Hope Centre in Kenya. Through strategic fundraising efforts we empower children, refugee and host families and communities.
Why this matters
In Kenya, particularly within vulnerable regions such as Nairobi and the surrounding areas like Kitengela, children, refugees, women and families face complex challenges: limited access to quality education, minimal economic opportunities, and inadequate social-support systems. Raising Hope Centre’s Kenyan operations address these issues by delivering education, skills training, psychosocial support and community-wellbeing services.
What your support enables
Ensuring vulnerable children can access school supplies, textbooks and learning materials—contributing to meaningful educational outcomes.
Providing vocational and enterprise training for youth and adults, including certified business development services that equip participants with marketable skills and sustainable livelihoods.
Strengthening community wellbeing and advocacy: counselling services, food-support drives, and gender-based violence education—in partnership with local communities in Kenya.
Supporting the overall operational capacity of Raising Hope Centre Kenya with governance, monitoring & evaluation, and program delivery oversight—all made possible by funds raised in Canada.

2. Family Placement and Child Support Program
Every child deserves to grow up in a family — surrounded by love, guidance, and a sense of belonging.
Our Family Placement and Child Support Program focuses on helping abandoned, neglected, and vulnerable children find permanent, caring homes. We believe that family-based care provides the best environment for children to heal, grow, and thrive.
Our Approach
Family Matching – We partner with licensed agencies and community organizations to connect children with suitable families.
Parental Support – We provide training, counseling, and ongoing support to foster and adoptive parents.
Child Wellbeing – Regular follow-ups ensure that each child receives emotional, educational, and social support.
3. Immigrant Settlement and Integration Program
Moving to a new country is both exciting and challenging. Our Immigrant Settlement and Integration Program supports newcomers to Edmonton, Alberta, as they adapt to their new home and community.
We assist individuals and families in navigating essential services, building meaningful connections, and achieving self-sufficiency in their new environment.
Program Highlights
Settlement Assistance – Guidance with documentation, healthcare registration, and public service access.
Housing and Employment Support – Helping newcomers find safe housing and connect with local job resources.
Cultural Orientation – Workshops that introduce Canadian customs, laws, and community life.
Mentorship Programs – Pairing newcomers with local volunteers and families for social and emotional support.
